Delivery Furniture & Bulky Goods

We operate a complimentary free home delivery service throughout Kerry along with a nationwide delivery service for a small fee to cover the service. This nationwide service is operated by a dedicated furniture courier. Our delivery service will contact you beforehand to arrange your delivery and the payment of any outstanding balance. In the case of our home delivery service a 2 hour delivery window will be given, not withstanding exception delays beyond our control.

Click & Collect

We offer a click & collect service for most products once they are in stock and your payment has been processed. You can very often avail of same day collection by prior arrangement. Please have your order acknowledgement to hand when collecting.

Courier Services

Courier services are offered for bedlinen, accessories, small furniture items (excluding Mirrors and glass items) Contact us for prices.

Furniture Removal & Disposal

Considering purchasing new furniture but wondering what to do with the old one. We offer a disposal service when we deliver your new equivalent purchases. The following rates apply:

Please note our furniture disposal service is only carried out on a like for like basis.

Returns Policy

While we hope you will be satisfied with your purchases from Moriartys, either online or instore, we understand that at times things may not work out.
The following procedures apply, excluding where items are delivered in error, damaged or faulty. These situations are dealt with separately below.

Instore Purchases

We are happy to accept items for return within 14 days of purchase provided the returned goods are in a saleable condition, in the packaging provided at time of purchase and have not been used or damaged in any way. Mattresses, Duvets & Pillows are excluded from this for reasons of hygiene. Certain items such as rugs, mirrors, pictures, bedlinen and accessories must be returned within 48 hours.

Made to order items can only be returned in exceptional circumstances and by prior agreement by store management.  Please contact store management in advance and your request will be dealt with directly.

Should we accept items for return, you will be issued with a store credit. Please note we do not offer cash refunds.

Online Purchases

If you purchase a product from us online, you may return the product and cancel the contract prior to delivery or cancel the contract within 14 days of delivery for a full refund provided the returned goods are in a saleable condition, in the packaging provided at time of purchase and have not been used or damaged in any way. Mattresses, Duvets & Pillows are excluded from this for reasons of hygiene.

Made to order items can only be returned in exceptional circumstances and by prior agreement by store management.  Please contact store management in advance and your request will be dealt with directly.

You will however be responsible for any postage/courier/restocking charges to return the item, this also applies to items of furniture delivered through our home delivery service.

Please ensure to use appropriate packaging as only items that reach us in an original condition will be accepted for return. Once the item has been received and has been checked and restocked by our delivery team your account will be credited. Please allow 10 days in the case of money being refunded to your account

Any disputed in relation to a return will be handled through the EU ODR Service.

Special Order/Made to Order/Bespoke Item

In exceptional circumstances we may agree to accept a return of an item ordered instore, a 20% deposit is required to process that item at time of purchase. Should we agree to accept the cancellation of your order we reserve the right to keep your deposit to cover restocking and onward clearance of the item.

For online sales that we agree to accept as a return we reserve the right to withhold 20% of the price you paid to purchases the item to cover restocking and onward clearance of the item.

Please ensure to measure the room and all access points prior to ordering your furniture. All furniture items we sell online include dimensions, however they are for guidance only.

Faulty or Defective Goods

If you receive an item from us that is in a defective or damaged condition, we apologise for this and ask that you contact the store management immediately. We will made every effort to put the situation right as quickly as possible.

Moriartys of Killorglin Ltd have the right to repair, replace or refund the customer the full purchases price including delivery charges where applicable for damaged or defective items.

Furniture Assembly   

At Moriartys we strive to offer our customers the best of service at all times. When you purchase furniture from us and have it delivered through our home delivery service, we will if you wish assemble it in the room of your choice, remove all packing and wrapping for free.

Moriartys are not responsible for the safe fixing of furniture to walls

Moriartys are not responsible where an uneven floor requires packing to be used to bring a product to level.

Moriartys endeavour to deliver furniture to your home without damaging the fabric of your home but cannot be held responsible if the product has not been correctly measured by you and results in a difficult delivery.

Some exclusions apply
  • Unfinished or under construction properties which may be deemed unsafe for staff.
  • Some childrens furniture/bunks are not included in this free service

Price Promise

We regularly benchmark our products against those of our competitors to ensure we are not just market leading on quality, but also on price. We don’t expect you to find a lower price at another retailer for the same individual product, sold with the same service conditions, but If you find the same product for less at another store in the Republic of Ireland within 7 days of purchase, we will match the price and provide an immediate discount to your order. In the event that goods have been paid for in full, a refund of the difference will be given.

Please Note

Proof of price must be provided in the form of an official letterhead written quotation. Price match is available on like for like items only, where variation in specification, brand or manufacturer exist, price match will not apply.

The level of service we offer can’t be equalled by online or mail-order only retailers, and it’s for this reason we don’t match their prices. There are also some fitting and installation service conditions we take into account when we look at a price match.

For products that we deliver, we ask that the competitor is able to deliver in equivalent timescales to us, and on products that require delivery; we’ll take delivery charges into account when comparing prices.
